associated company Pemberton Investments Limited. Pemberton Investments
Limited is a financial services company licensed and registered in
Cyprus.
The use of this Cyprus affiliate enables us to:
1. Significantly reduce Russian tax liability
on capital gains (from 20 % to 0%) and dividends
(from 15 % to 0 % in some
cases) which foreigners investing in Russia would otherwise face
(thanks to the double taxation
avoidance treaty between Russia and Cyprus).
2. Enable all transactions with foreigners
to be conducted in US Dollars, as opposed to Rubles.
To enable foreigners to
work with us from abroad (i.e. not have to travel to Russia to open up
accounts in person).
