General Summary
Irkutskenergo is one of Russia's leading energy companies. In addition to producing the cheapest energy in Russia (about one third the average cost), Irkutskenergo is one of the few surplus providers. This surplus puts Irkutskenergo in a great position to export its output to earn additional income. Possibilities of exporting power to China and Mongolia are currently being pursued. Irkutskenergo is fairly independent from UES, although the degree of independence is hard to define and is presently being contended. Despite more than doubling in price already this year and holding the second highest market capitalization among "energos", many still consider Irkutskenergo to be undervalued. Shares of Irkutskenergo are very liquid and are actively traded on the RTS.
